It starts very well
Featuring Graham Norton and guests: Cher/Keira Knightley/Michael Fassbender/Josh Brolin/Jalen Ngonda (2024). It’s one of those ordinary entertainments where you can’t really criticize the acting, and the production values are practically flawless.
But John Le Carré is not like that
You think that you will be absorbed and seduced by a complicated spy thriller. Instead, you soon realize that it is neither serious nor funny.
As often happens these days, the problem is the paucity of history
It has strange characters and indeed characters with all the charm and conversational wit that you can expect from psychopaths. They could be related to Eve from Killing Eve, but they’re bad cousins and don’t stack up very well on the scale of psychopathic DNA inheritance.
Unfortunately, it’s disappointing, it could be really good
It’s a comic-book parody of a spy thriller with a storyline that relies on a weak plot and frequent action walls to fill in the gaps. No need to waste time scrolling endlessly – here’s the entire lineup of new movies and TV shows streaming on Netflix this month.
