This series uses material from the Great Schools of Dune trilogy by Brian Herbert and Kevin J
Plot
Two Harkonnen sisters fight against forces that threaten the future of humanity and found a legendary sect that would become known as the Bene Gesserit. Whether exploring the stars, escaping dystopias, or making the world a better place, these women are what science fiction is all about. Anderson. A prequel to the original Dune, it tells the story of how the Rossak Sisterhood evolved into the Bene Gesserit.

The incident with Valya Harkonnen, who uses the voice, is from one called 'Mentats of Dune'. All three books intertwine the development of the Sisterhood, the Mentats, the Navigators, and the Suk Doctor. I don’t want to be critical of just the first episode of the TV show, but this was just average on all levels. The acting was subpar, aside from some notable actors like Mark Strong, Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, and maybe Travis Fimmel.
The story was very loose and the dialogue wasn’t worthy of The Dune
The rest of the cast felt like they just graduated from film school or something. I love slow dramas that take forever to build because I know the reward is worth the wait. But this wasn’t just slow, a lot of things happened, but it was just boring, I don’t know how else to put it. The soundtrack that used to wander around in movies is a bit torn here, some familiar sounds appear here and there, but the timing just wasn’t right.
My question is, did he even like it when this was made?
It’s like I heard a lot of music here that didn’t make any impact. I remembered how long we’ve been watching movies with just people talking, and then boom, Hans Zimmer does his magic, and I’d be so pumped. But I know he didn’t have any part in creating the sounds here and I don’t even have to check. I’m not sure Denis Villeneuve was involved in this production, I hope not.
Food for thought
Would a mediocre TV show like this after two epic movies have any impact on the highly anticipated third movie? The reason I wonder is because Penguin was so good that it made me appreciate Batman even more than I did after watching it and I can’t wait for the second movie. So how would Dune: Prophecy affect the 3rd movie if there is one at all.
