Plot
During the 1989 Romanian Revolution, Sibiu witnesses a violent attack on a police station which escalates into armed clashes between soldiers, police, protesters and the secret police. References Rocky (1976). I just had the privilege of seeing it tonight at a preview screening before the actual release and I can say that I was very happy and relieved to see these stories told so well while at the same time not being a documentary despite the mountains of research and the effort that went into recreating some of the aspects shown. Probably the best and most mature Romanian non-meta film. Please go out and support it by seeing it in cinemas from October 6th – it’s worth it and deserves to be seen if you are even remotely interested in Romanian films, stories inspired by history – or really great films in general!
