Original stories set in the worlds of iconic video games are featured in this animated anthology series. Video games have made a huge leap onto the screen, and we’re celebrating the genre with a closer look at more than 50 video game adaptations in film and TV. Clive Standen will reprise his voice role as Demetrius Titus, the main character in the video game Space Marine 2. The episode takes place after the events of the game.. Mentioned in Film Junk Podcast: Episode 973: Carry-On (2024). The animation is beautiful, that’s for sure. Still, I struggle to get excited about such short episodes. They feel like Apprentice trials. You can’t be completely captivated, as you know it’s all over before you can even establish any connection with the characters. It was nice to see some big names involved. Reeves and Arnie play enjoyable roles. It’s all a bit too experimental and shallow for me. Also, if I were given the chance to choose the source material. I think I would have chosen a completely different set of games to honor. The Pacman episode was okay. But it was a demonstration of artistic freedom being pushed to its absolute limit. At the very least, it made me laugh. Overall, I found the entire series a bit unimpressive. 6 for the visuals.
